Travis J. Mercer is a seasoned real estate professional with over 20 years of experience and more than $500 million in deployed capital. Renowned for his strategic insight and innovative investment approach, Travis has built a proven track record across residential acquisitions, property flips, speculative builds, short-term and traditional rentals, and large-scale project management—giving him a uniquely comprehensive perspective on the real estate market.

After earning his Bachelor of Science in Business from Bowling Green State University, Travis began his career in IT and finance before finding his true calling in real estate. He became a licensed broker in 2005, working with retail clients and building a personal rental portfolio.

Travis’s career accelerated when he joined Invitation Homes at its inception during the 2008–2009 housing market downturn. As one of the company’s earliest team members, he played a key role in designing the acquisition systems, analytics, and operational processes that enabled the firm to deploy $500 million in institutional capital. This strategy laid the foundation for Invitation Homes’ evolution into a major REIT, generating substantial returns for shareholders.

Following this success, Travis co-founded a residential redevelopment and contracting firm with his wife, Roxy Mercer. Under his leadership, the company expanded into a full-service contracting division, successfully flipping more than 250 properties ranging from entry-level condos to multimillion-dollar homes. Their focus on design excellence and operational efficiency established them as trusted leaders in the residential investment space.

In 2024, a life-changing personal event prompted Travis to reimagine the investment process. Through this experience, he developed a new model that shifts the home sale to the middle of the development process, allowing builders, agents, investors, and end-users to benefit simultaneously—creating a true win-win-win structure.
